At Virginia Sinus Center, our first line treatment is medical therapy. We follow the established clinical guidelines for treating sinusitis. After assessing your sinus health, Dr. Saffold may recommend one of a variety of treatments based on your symptoms.

Relief for Symptoms

Nasal steroid sprays can decrease the swelling in the mucous membrane lining of the sinuses, and help temporarily relieve symptoms.

Reduce Inflammation. Breathe Easy

Decongestant nose drops or nasal sprays aim to soothe the mucous membranes and reduce swelling.

If sinus inflammation has led to a bacterial infection, Virginia Sinus Center may prescribe antibiotics to deal with symptoms related to that infection.
